Expertise in Higher Education Investigations and Training
I bring a decade of experience in Higher Education (HE), specialising in conducting comprehensive investigations involving student and staff matters, such as Student Disciplinary, Fitness to Practise, Complaints, and Academic Integrity.
I started my role as Head of Student Conduct & Compliance at St. George’s University in January 2023, where I oversee the continuous development of the University’s strategy, policy, and procedures related to student casework. In this capacity, I have developed and delivered extensive training programs for new investigators and panel members. Prior to this role, I spent over eight years at the University of Surrey in various positions, becoming a key member of the University’s elite pool of investigators for the most complex student and staff cases, including those involving sexual misconduct.
I am also the co-investigator of the University of Surrey’s Sexual Misconduct Case Toolkit, a project designed to improve responses to sexual misconduct allegations in higher education. This collaborative effort involves academic colleagues from the University of Surrey and researchers from the Institute of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (IDVSA) at the University of Texas. My contributions to this project include shaping, designing, and delivering training content from a practitioner’s perspective. This experience ignited my passion for training and upskilling professionals within Higher Education Institutions.
